Before we installed the Peel Tech machine, we had a really bad problem with smelly drains. Potato waste and starch can produce the most awful odours as well as hard to shift blockages. Not the sort of image an award winning Fish Restaurant trading in one of Scotland’s’ most popular and picturesque destinations wants. Drain clearing lorries outside the door would do the image of the business any good at all.
We are also extremely proud to have been awarded several industry accolades in no small way as a result of our environmentally friendly approach to everything we do from packaging to product.
We installed a Peel Tech machine after being recommended to it by a fellow Fish and Chip Shop owner. We are delighted with it as we have no more waste clogging the drains and no more smell from the starchy waste. We love the facts that the water used to wash the waste is so clean that it can be recycled and that the waste by-product can be used for animal feed.
We have recommended this piece of equipment to several of our fellow catering colleagues. It’s a must if you trade ethically and with the environment in mind.
